GENERAL ADVICE ON ENTERING EXHIBITS

Things to think about before entering the Burstall Show.
The first really important step is to read the Entry Rules so that you are aware of:
• When and where to submit the entry form
• What time on show day the entries need to be staged and when you will be asked to leave the marquee.
• When entries need to be collected after the show
The next step is to select the classes that you would like to enter and make sure that your entries fit exactly what is asked for. If you enter something which does not comply with the schedule the judge will mark it NAS (Not as Schedule) which is very disappointing.
A common mistake, with all the hassle of getting everything staged, is to put the wrong number of items on the plate, eg: 5 scones instead of 6, 3 runner beans instead of 4.
And make sure that everything is the correct size, eg:
• the flower arrangement is no bigger than the requested size
• the correct size cake tin has been used
